Activities and Training Center for Inclusion
Objectives
CACI pursues the following objectives:
a) Create conditions aimed at the personal development and social inclusion of people with disabilities;
b) Developing strategies to promote self-esteem and personal and social autonomy, through the involvement and active participation of the people themselves in defining the activities to be developed;
c) Promote the development of personal, social and relational skills, taking into account the profile, aptitudes, interests and needs of people with disabilities, with a view to empowering and maximizing their opportunities for active social participation;
d) To contribute to the emotional and social well-being and quality of life of people with disabilities, by qualifying the activities developed, focusing on the uniqueness of each person;
e) Developing activities and services focused on facilitating/mediating learning and inclusion paths that enable greater access to the community, its resources and activities;
f) Promote, whenever possible, the transition to socio-professional inclusion or professional rehabilitation programs;
g) Encouraging the active participation of people with disabilities, their families and/or legal representatives in defining their life project, which takes the form of an individual inclusion plan (PII);
h) Promote inclusion actions in the community that change society’s representations, values and attitudes towards people with disabilities and improve their quality of life.

The CACI includes the following activities, in a differentiated way, based on the abilities, functionality, interests and needs of the disabled person. These activities must be planned and organized individually, taking into account the choices, needs, interests and wishes of the disabled person:
Occupational
They guarantee the well-being of people with disabilities, keeping them active and motivated in their daily activities, with the aim of developing their autonomy, balance and potential, promoting socio-professional inclusion whenever possible.
Therapeutic
They promote psychosocial rehabilitation interventions to stimulate and preserve cognitive, sensory and motor abilities, enabling people with disabilities to develop physical, intellectual and emotional skills for independent living.
Interaction
They promote the development of personal, social and relational skills of people with disabilities, stimulating their cognitive capacity and socialization through diverse experiences in the community.
Social
They focus on training social and professional skills in a real work environment, prioritizing the development of users in entities outside the CACI for greater integration and autonomy.
Inclusion
They promote the development of personal, professional and social skills of people with disabilities, with a view to their autonomy and socio-professional inclusion through an individual transition plan (ITP).
